Week of 5/18/09

Hello! I hope all my 10th graders feel confident about their MCAS testing :-) It's going to be a pretty chill week in history because of that!

Honors 1/2 & Pd. 4:
You should be working on your Civil War Magazine project all this week! period 1/2 is due on Thursday 5/28 and period 4 is due on Friday 5/29. We will be in the Media Center through Tuesday 5/26. Then we start Reconstruction Wednesday 5/27!

Advanced 3 & G7:
Thursday, we will be doing some in class work on Chapter 12 (you should all be reading that chapter!), but there will be no homework. On Friday, you will start a DBQ on the relationship between Slavery and the Civil War. Please work on the DBQ in class Friday and complete both the questions and the Essay for class on Tuesday 5/26. Your essay SHOULD be typed. Handwritten essays will be marked down!

ALSO- please do Clara Barton reading and answer questions for TUESDAY!

APUSH- You should be studying. We will be reviewing with whoever is in class all week long. Reminder to bring lots of #2 pencils and some pens to the exam. Bring a water bottle. Pack a small snack for during break. Do not bring ANYTHING into the exam that could compromise your ability to take the exam. Be responsible. Get lots of sleep. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!
